If you are like many other Illinois drivers, you are used to sharing the road with a multitude of motorists, all rushing to get to their destination. At some point in time, you may have gotten irritated with other drivers on the road, especially if you were late to work or an appointment. Road rage is common on Illinois roadways and on roads across the United States. In fact, AAA reported that nearly 80% of drivers have admitted to driving aggressively within the last year. The problem lies in the fact that aggressive driving can be deadly. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reported that 56% of fatal motor vehicle accidents were the result of excessive speeding, which is one type of aggressive driving behavior.

When reckless drivers move forward in the wrong lane, it can be extremely dangerous due to oncoming traffic and it may cause a devastating collision.

The dangers associated with drinking and driving are well known, and the risks of texting or talking on your cell phone while behind the wheel have gained much more exposure in recent years.
