On June 6, 2020, a 54-year-old Naperville man collided head-on with an oncoming vehicle, killing a 41-year-old Woodridge man. The crash occurred when Frank Qualtier, Jr. drove his Dodge Ram westbound on Royce Road and crossed over onto the eastbound lanes near Lisson Road, striking a Ford Fiesta head-on. Authorities say that Qualtier’s vehicle rolled over several times and came to rest on its roof.

The driver of the Ford Fiesta was extricated from his car and pronounced dead at the scene. Qualtier was arrested and charged with aggravated DUI and reckless homicide. Authorities are still investigating the crash and urge anyone with information to contact the Naperville Police Department.
