On May 6, 2018, around 11:30 p.m., two cars crashed head-on at Route 47 near Beith Road in Campton Township, Illinois. The Kane County Sheriff’s Office reports that Linda Clark was southbound on Route 47, in a Honda Civic, when she crossed over the center dividing line and crashed into a northbound Toyota Highlander.
Clark, a 54-year-old woman from Montgomery, was pronounced dead at the scene. The Toyota driver, a 29-year-old woman from Hampshire, and her 1-year-old son were rushed to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Authorities say the cause of the crash is unknown, but the matter is under investigation by the Kane County Accident Reconstruction Team.
Often, it is not obvious who was at-fault for a head-on car crash. If you, or someone you know, were injured in a car crash, you will need an experienced attorney to preserve evidence and prove the other driver was at-fault for your injuries. Your attorney will also be able to hire reconstruction experts to recreate and investigate the crash, making it clear to the at-fault insurance company that its driver was the one responsible.
