45 Year Old Woodridge Woman Struck and Killed on Halloween

On October 31, 2017, a 45 year-old Woodridge woman was hit by a car at Route 53 and High Tail Drive in Woodridge. The victim, Cindy Higgins, was found injured at the intersection by police and transported to Edward Hospital in Naperville where she died from her injuries.

Authorities say the driver who hit Higgins was still at the scene when police arrived. At this time, experts are still reconstructing the crash and probing the incident, but no charges have been filed against the driver, whose name has not been released.

If you, or someone you know, was injured in a pedestrian-car crash, it’s important to contact an experience personal injury attorney immediately. Your attorney will be able to save key evidence from the scene, establish fault for the crash, and investigate all of your options for recovery. Insurance companies start investigating claims immediately, so it’s important that you have an attorney fighting for you as soon as possible.

Pedestrian-car crashes lead to serious injuries for the pedestrian, and often create a heavy burden for the victim and the victim’s family. An experience attorney will know how to eliminate that burden. Contact the Law Offices of Mathys & Schneid today for a free consultation and more information.
