Woman tragically dies in dialysis facility after ambulance failed to transport her to hospital

A Kurtz ambulance service failed to pick up a patient according to their scheduled pickup, possibly contributing to her untimely death. A 71 year old woman was scheduled to be transported from 1051 Essington Road to a local hospital. Her transportation never arrived and she was left inside the building after hours until firefighters discovered her sitting in her wheelchair. A second phone call to the ambulance company was never made.

This woman and her family depended upon the medical facility to provide proper care. The complete failure to ensure this woman was transported according to her scheduled pickup is an absolute disregard for her life. From initial investigations, it appears no one observed the woman sitting in a "common lobby" as employees left the building. It is a disgrace this medical facility failed to ensure this woman was transported to the hospital and left her sitting in a wheel chair for hours after it closed. There is simply no reason that a human being has to die alone and abandoned by the very people she has entrusted her care.

In a situation like this, it is strongly advised to obtain an autopsy regardless of what anyone is recommending. Contact an experienced attorney immediately to thoroughly investigate this incident and obtain justice on behalf of this woman.
