Recently, Mathys & Schneid obtained a $2,000,000 settlement for the family of two children who were killed in a truck crash in Effingham, Illinois. Mathys & Schneid hired two of the best accident reconstruction experts in the country who, with help from the data collected form the trucks’ Electronic Control Module (ECM), determined exactly how the crash occurred. The ECM data also proved the speed of the trucks at the time of the crash and showed that the other driver had driven too many hours in violation of the Federal Hours of Service Regulations. For more information, please see our blog entry on the settlement.
