A 54 year-old female was killed in a hit-and-run after attending a Jason Aldean concert on July 17, 2015. Police say the crash occurred in the 19100 block of South Oak Park Avenue in Tinley Park when the pedestrian, Luisa Domantay of Greenwood, was hit by a 2005 Jeep Cherokee. Domantay was rushed to Silver Cross Hospital where she was pronounced dead on arrival.
An updated police report detailed that the driver of the Jeep, 21 year-old Jacquelyn Cummings of Oak Lawn, was charged on July 22, 2015 with reckless homicide and failure to report an accident. In addition to the charges, Cummings was ticketed for failure to yield to the right of way, improper lane usage, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, failure to signal, and use of a wireless phone in an emergency zone.
