Some of the biggest recalls in the last 10 years

When defective products are found out, recalls are often issued. However, consumers sometimes do not realize that these recalls exist for various reasons, and they can still be harmed by these products. Below are a few of the biggest recalls from the last decade.

Infantino Baby Slings

Back in 2010, the company Infantino had to recall about 1 million baby slings. The products were not breaking, but they were designed in such a way that they could make it hard for the babies to breathe.

Graco High Chairs

One of the high chairs made by Graco led to at least two dozen injuries, and so the company had to recall about 1.2 million of them. This recall was put out by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

Toyota and Lexus Cars

This recall also happened in 2010, and it made national news because some Toyotas were said to be accelerating uncontrollably due to faulty pedals, a serious accident risk. Because of this, the company had to recall a large number of Toyota models and some of the models made by Toyota's luxury brand, Lexus.

Roman Blinds

This recall was huge, impacting 50 million blinds. The problem with Roman-style designs was that hanging cords were a hazard to young children and babies; some of them had been strangled and killed by the cords. This recall happened in 2009, and it was one of the biggest to ever take place.

This is just a small sample of recent recalls, but it really shows how many products can be impacted. If you've been injured by defective products in Illinois, whether they've been recalled or not, you need to know what options you have.
