Deadly motorcycle accident in Illinois

Over the holiday weekend of the Fourth of July, there was a deadly motorcycle crash in DeKalb County, Illinois. It happened at the intersection where Chicago Road and Illinois Route 23 come together. The crash occurred in the evening, according to reports.

The officers who responded to the call were told that a van and a motorcycle had collided. The van was going down Chicago Road, heading east. The motorcycle was coming down Illinois Route 23, heading north.

The driver of the van maintains that he did in fact come to a stop at the stop sign, and he then kept going down the road. When he crossed into the intersection, he slammed into the motorcycle. The man who was driving it was 60 years old. The reports say that he passed away at the scene of the crash. The motorcycle driver did have his helmet on.

The man who was driving the van is 20 years old. The police gave him a citation because he did not yield to the motorcycle as he should have done after he brought the van to a stop. However, the police are still carrying out their investigation to get to the bottom of things.

There were two passengers in the van, along with the driver. None of them suffered any injuries in the crash.

When people are killed in motorcycle accidents that are then shown to be the fault of the other drivers, the families of those who died need to make sure that they know all of their rights and what legal options they have if they desire compensation for their loss.

  4. "Easy to talk to"

Mr. Mathys and Mr. Schneid were very professional and easy to talk to. Prior to working with them, my wife and I had no real experience with the legal system beyond a house closing, yet Mr. Mathys and Mr. Schneid explained the whole process to us very well. I knew that whenever I had a concern about our case or the legal system in general I could call their office or send an email and receive answers the same day... -Larry

  5. "Provided very wise advice"

I've dealt with attorneys on a variety of issues, almost all of them since leaving college and entering the workplace. 7. "They went to bat for me"

Not long ago I was involved in a car accident where I was hit by a gravel truck at an intersection. After I called Mathys & Schneid, even though I didn't have a very large case, they made me feel like I was one of their most important cases. They went to bat for me with the trucking company's insurance and got me a settlement. I would definitely recommend them to my family and friends. -Dan H.
