Law Offices of Mathys & Schneid recently filed a Medical Malpractice lawsuit against Palos Community Hospital in Cook County for a traumatic brain injury our elderly client received when he fell in his hospital room.
In August 2012, our client was admitted to Palos Community Hospital for heart related issues and the hospital staff identified him as a “high fall risk” patient every day during his hospital stay. The lawsuit alleges that the hospital did not use the well known safety procedures needed to protect high fall risk patients and our client fell while unattended and while trying to walk to the bathroom on his own.
Our client struck his head on the floor and sustained a very serious brain injury that required surgery and significant inpatient rehabilitation. Our client now requires daily in-home medical care and assistance and will need future medical care for the rest of his life.
We are honored that our client and his family retained us to help them recover for all of the harms and losses our client sustained. The Law Offices of Mathys & Schneid recovered compensation for many medical malpractice victims in situations involving hospital errors, doctor errors, failure to diagnose, failure to properly treat, surgical errors, birth injury, stroke, meningitis, infectious disease, hospital falls, traumatic brain injury, wrongful death and many others.
The Law Offices of Mathys & Schneid continues to represent seriously injured victims of Medical Malpractice in Cook, DuPage, Kane, Will, Kendall and all surrounding counties in Illinois.
