CO-COUNSEL AND REFERRAL FEES

LAW OFFICES OF MATHYS & SCHNEID can help you generate a source of income with no overhead. We routinely pay referral fees to other lawyers in accordance with the Rules of Professional Conduct of the State of Illinois.

The Rules allow us to co-counsel a case with other lawyers and pay appropriate referral fees to those lawyers. The client's written consent is required and will be made part of the attorney-client contract.

We regularly seek out qualified lawyers in other states for co-counsel on our cases outside of Illinois. We find that co-counseling with local lawyers on our out-of-state cases provides our clients with expertise in the local legal environment while reducing travel costs.
